This 6 foot long power cord contains a small inline rectifier (rated at 0.8 amps) that is integrated into the power cord halfway along its length, allowing the LEDs to function off of standard 120v AC current.
Includes 6' power cord with rectifier and power connector.
Attach power connector
- Remove the threaded collar from the connector and slide it over the rope light. Push it up a bit to keep it out of the way.
- Align the sharp pins in the connector with the inner wires of the rope light. (Note that pins/wires are offset from centerline of rope light.) Firmly and carefully push the connector and its pins into the rope light, making sure the pins make secure contact with the rope light's corresponding inner wires.
- Slide the threaded collar (which is still resting on the rope light) back down over the threaded wings of the connector and screw on. This will compress the wings of the connector, tightening its grip on the rope light.
- You are now ready to attach a power cord or other accessory piece to the other side of the connector.
Attach power cord
- Push the "female" end of the power cord over the "male" pins of the power connector. Note that pins/holes are offset from centerline of rope light; take care to align correctly.
- Screw threaded collar over threads on power connector to secure the connection between the two.
