ALWAYS MAKE SURE CONTROLLER IS DISCONNECTED FROM POWER SOURCE WHILE INSTALLING/CONNECTING TO ROPE LIGHT

Attach power connector

Remove the 4 screws from the corners of the plastic power connector enclosure. Separate enclosure and set it, and the screws, aside.
Align the sharp pins in the connector with the inner wires of the rope light. (Note that pins/wires are offset from centerline of rope light.) Firmly and carefully push the connector and its pins into the rope light, making sure the pins make secure contact with the rope light's corresponding inner wires.
You are now ready to attach a power cord or other accessory piece to the other side of the connector.

Attach power cord coming from back of controller

Push the "female" end of the power cord over the "male" pins of the power connector. Note that pins/holes are offset from centerline of rope light; take care to align correctly.
After attaching, briefly plug in controller and turn on as a test to ensure rope lights function properly. If the LEDs light up, proceed to next step. If the LEDs do not light, the polarity of the connection is incorrect. This can be remedied by connecting the power connector and cord to the other end of the rope light - see previous step. (Be sure to turn off and unplug controller before taking any further action.)

Secure connection

Grab one of the halves of the plastic power connector enclosure and position under the power connector. The enclosure has slots molded into the inside of it for the power connector to snap into. Snap the connector into one of these slots.
Take the other half of the plastic enclosure and snap it into place above the lower half of the enclosure and the power connector.
Join the plastic enclosure halves together using the supplied 4 screws.
